USB (Universal Seiral Bus) is a serial bus standard for connecting computer systems and external devices. It is also a technical specification for input and output interfaces. It is widely used in information and communication products such as personal computers and mobile devices, and has been extended to other related fields such as photographic equipment, digital TVs (set-top boxes), and game consoles.
USB has the advantages of fast transmission speed, easy use, hot plug support, flexible connection, independent power supply, and backward compatibility of protocols. It can connect a variety of peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and large-capacity storage devices. This interface is also widely used in smart phones.
The USB transmission standard has evolved from USB1.0/USB1.1->USB2.0->USB3.x->USB4.0. The logo, transmission rate, and theoretical speed of each version are shown in the figure below.
